The book is based on my experiences with clients over the years. My work helped in their inner healing and improved their self-love. The role of Karma in the Inner Healing Journey

Life’s challenges can go beyond our immediate actions and decisions. Our Karma can create these challenges. Karma is a universal principle and the cosmic law of cause and effect. Every action we take—whether positive or negative—leaves an imprint on our souls. In addition, these actions influence future events and circumstances in our lives. Furthermore, negative Karma can have a profound and long-term impact. Moreover, negative Karma can often span many lifetimes.

An illustrative example for Inner Healing and Self-love

Consider the story of Alex. Alex was a diligent and kind-hearted individual. However, Alex was often bullied at work. Despite his best efforts and impeccable work ethics, he became the target of unwarranted ridicule and isolation. Alex came to me for a consultation to understand the reasons for his issues. After the analysis, Alex discovered that he was a powerful figure in a past life. However, during that past life, he often used his position to belittle and suppress those beneath him. This past life Karma manifested in this life as bullies who kept targeting him.

Everything You Need To Know About Uterine Fibroids

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), around 80% of women have fibroids by the age of 50. However, most women don’t even know they have them because they have no symptoms. But what are uterine fibroids?

Simply put, uterine fibroids are abnormal growths that develop on a woman’s uterus. In most cases, these growths are usually benign. One of the things that you need to keep in mind is that while in some cases women can have large periods and severe abdominal pain, in other cases there are no symptoms or signs.

What Causes Uterine Fibroids?

The truth is that no one knows exactly why uterine fibroids develop. However, some factors tend to influence their formation:

#1: Family History:

Genetics play an important role in fibroids in uterus. So, in case your sister or mother has them, you may be more prone to develop them as well.

#2: Hormones:

Hormones are another factor that tends to lead to the formation of uterine fibroids. During each menstrual cycle, progesterone and estrogen are produced by your ovaries and their main job is to regenerate your uterine lining. This process can also stimulate the growth of uterine fibroids.

#3: Pregnancy:

Solution for Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Blood Pressure

It’s no secret that most of the people coming to consult me come with one or more problems bothering them, hoping to get a solution.

Facing problems is easier said than done and therefore, it can take it’s toll on almost anyone. Today, in every home there is at least one person suffering from issues such as Anxiety, Blood Pressure, Depression or similar lifestyle related health issue. The next logical conclusion after these issues could be problems such as Heart Disease, Obesity, Diabetes or worse.

Let’s understand a bit about each of these issues before I give you the solution.

Depression

Let’s give the most importance to the deadliest problem – Depression. Depression is a feeling of defeat that is very difficult to solve. People suffering from Depression feel that there is no hope left in life and it is common for such people to also go to extreme steps such as crime, violence or even suicide!

So, according to me, the key to defeat Depression is having very strong willpower. The remedy that I wish to share with you via this post will help you in this department for sure.

Stress

Most people who know me personally always say that I have a very cool and calm nature and rarely get angry. I can say that this is not far from the truth, but this world has plenty of people who are hot tempered, easily bothered and regularly worried about one thing or other.

We call this Stress.

Stress is commonly seen in people in very demanding jobs or businesses or suffering from issues in their education, career, finances or family.

Therefore, today I wish to share with you, a simple mantra that can help with depression, anxiety, stress and blood pressure that are normally associated with most people today.

Stress is something that can affect anyone including you or me. The good thing about Stress is that it causes a release of Adrenaline, a hormone that speeds up your body’s reflexes and puts your brain in high gear, helping you think better. However, too much stress is bad because it causes a release of Cortisol (a.k.a the Stress Hormone).

The excess presence of Cortisol in the body causes you to feel excess hunger and leads to quick weight gain and fat build up in the body. Accordingly, in this post, I will share a remedy that will help you cope with stress and be cool in almost any situation.

Blood Pressure

Blood Pressure is essentially the speed at which your blood flows through your body. The ideal speed at which this happens is 120/80. If the flow is fater then we call it High Blood Pressure. Conversely, if it’s lower, we call it Low Blood Pressure.

Blood Pressure is a common indicator of Health problems, including Heart Disease. Most Doctors and Cardiologists rely on your Blood Pressure reading to assess your state of health.

High Blood Pressure is considered by many doctors as a sign of Blockages in the Heart and if ignored, it can even lead to Stroke or Heart Attack. Therefore, we cannot take it lightly.

On the other hand, Low Blood Pressure (more commonly found in women) is an indicator of nutritional deficiencies and weakness. Again, this is not something that we can take lightly.

Finally, let’s talk about how we can deal with these issues. The solution is a mantra that needs to be chanted daily as much as possible. It will give you the emotional and physical strength to deal with adversity and stay strong.

The mantra is:-

Om Hamsa Hamsa

Chanting this mantra at least 108 times daily has a powerful effect in case of such issues. In fact, I have personally seen a powerful effect on my own health, chanting this mantra for the last 6+ years.

Yes that’s it. It is a very simple mantra but with immense power. It will help you stay cool and calm and forge ahead towards your goals and dreams.

Do you want your kids to score more in exams?

Hello everyone!

It is the wish of every parent that their kids should reach the greatest heights of success. Unfortunately, not all kids are born same and therefore, thinking that every kid will grow up to win the Nobel prize is also not correct. However, there is no harm in trying!

I commonly get questions from parents asking about their kids’ future and if it would be possible to accelerate their learning and make them smarter.

Personally, let me tell you a scientific fact – most human beings don’t even use 1% of their brain capacity. Yes I’m not joking!

In short, kids can be taught to use their brains more effectively and therefore learn better. For this purpose, I want to share some remedies with you.

Firstly, when we talk about a person, there are various planets that can have an impact on the person’s thinking. For example, the Sun is directly associated with mind power. People with a strong Sun in their charts are generally considered more intelligent. Second, we have the Moon. The Moon governs over emotions and we all know that our emotions can lead us away from our life’s goals.

Next, we have Rahu. Rahu is all about illusions and higher mind capacity. No scientist or genius born till date could do anything without the positive influence of Rahu. Then, we have Jupiter that helps us to differentiate between right and wrong. Jupiter also governs over our conscience and helps us stay away from crime and bad habits.

Last but not least, we have Mars. Mars introduces leardership qualities but on the negative side, also introduces aggression and a firey temperament.



So, I have outlined the the 5 main planets that have an influence on our minds – Sun, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Rahu.

Now, let’s apply the Pareto principle (80:20) rule and see which 1 or 2 planets can have the bigges impact on us. Out of these planets, the Sun will have the biggest impact in my humble opinion and therefore, it is important to strengthen the Sun. For the Sun, there are various remedies that we can do, such as:-

  1. Offer water to the Sun daily around 6-7 AM when you wake up in the morning
  2. Chanting the Gayatri Mantra “Om Bhoor Bhuvaswaha Tatsavitur Bhareniyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhioyonaha Prachodayat” at least 11 times a day is a great remedy
  3. Chanting the Aditya Hriday Stotram or listening to it (available on YouTube by singer Vijay Prakash) is the most powerful method as it can single handedly solve all planetary problems, remove all enemies and restore reputation in society
  4. You can also wear a Ruby gemstone of at least 5.5 carats (4.7 carats for ladies) in a gold of panch dhatu (5 metal) ring in your right hand index finger on a Sunday after chanting “Om Hraam Hreem Hroum Sah Suryaye Namah” 108 times. You can get one from Amazon here for around Rs 2050 (around 30 USD).
  5. Chanting the Surya Mantra “Om Hraam Hreem Hroum Sah Suryaye Namah” around 15000 times is also a big help. You can either do this yourself or with the help of priests. I can also do the chanting for you if you wish.

Next, let’s talk about Rahu. Rahu is the shadow of Saturn and therefore shares some traits of Saturn. However, Rahu can give fruits like no other planet. The most common example of lottery winners is people with a well placed Rahu. So, let’s talk about some remedies one can do for Rahu:-

  1. Give food to dogs every Saturday
  2. Chant “Om Ram Rahve Namah” at least 18000 times either yourself or with the help of priests. I can also do the chanting for you if you wish.
  3. You can also wear a Hessonite (Gomed) gemstone of at least 5.5 carats (4.7 carats for ladies) in a gold or panch dhatu (5 metal) ring in your right hand middle finger. If you are already wearing a ring in your right hand middle finger then you can wear it in a pendant around your neck.   4. Giving help of people with disabilities or providing volunteer service in old age homes and orphanages is also a great remedy for Rahu

My weight loss experience

Unlike my other previous posts, I decided to share something very candid with all of you, that is, if you would like to hear. In this post, I want to share some very simple yet less-known facts and at the same time, I wish to share how my realization of these facts and the scientific principles behind them that led to my return to shape.

So, here goes…

It all started in 2013. My job required a lot of travel and due to my tight schedule and many sleepless nights, I lost control of my diet and almost completely stopped exercise. The result – my weight crossed 110 kilos and my waist was not able to fit any trousers available in the market (yes sad but true).

So, finally I decided to make a few changes in my life when I realized that this cannot go on for long. I was at risk of Heart Disease, Diabetes, or worse. I was more concerned as these diseases run in my family. Both my parents have Heart Disease and my father has had diabetes for more than 25 years!

As I have been at the forefront of technology and academics since the beginning, I decided to do some research on how I can solve my problem of excess weight and come down to a more manageable weight. So, here’s what I learnt:-

  1. Most weight loss efforts only give temporary benefits – The weight is back as soon as you feel you don’t need to continue anymore. This is mainly because most people resort to extreme exercises, crash dieting, drugs or even surgery for their weight loss. All of these tend to work in the beginning, but continuing them forever is not possible.
  2. Weight loss (and by extension, weight gain) has a lot to do with your lifestyle. For example, as I was in a high pressure job with tight schedules, I used to sleep less, eat a lot of fast food and had a lot of stress too! All these things led to various hormonal imbalances that not only accelerated my obesity but also hampered any of my weight loss efforts!
  3. I was willing to do whatever it took to reduce my weight by at least 20 kilos and reach a more healthy state of body and mind. I checked out a lot of books, visited doctors, gyms, health clubs and even began to think of surgery. And that’s when I realized…
  4. I was not alone!!

As good as the last point may sound, I was sad to realize that there is an entire parallel economy feeding of the depression that people like me go through. We have health companies, doctors, fitness instructors, gyms, celebrities (brand ambassadors) etc who make a healthy profit seeing how desperate obese people can be to find a solution to their problems.

Luckily, I had an advantage that others overlooked – the Internet!!

I researched online, purchased books and read a lot of medical magazines and journals. I came to some startling conclusions:-

  1. Accelerated weight gain could be caused by liver disorders. In the human body, the liver produces various hormones that regulate different life functions, hence the name – Liver. A healthy liver produces hormones in required quantities and the body will therefore, maintain a healthy weight.
  2. Another possible cause of unexpected weight gain is thyroid disorders. The thyroid gland produces hormones which regulate the body composition and growth. Abnormal thyroid functioning can also lead to accelerated weight gain.
  3. Less sleep and irregular meals are a major cause of unexpected weight gain too. Less sleep results in the Liver producing Cortisol (also known as Stress hormone) in excess quantities. This can result in excess weight gain. Cortisol production can also increase due to reasons such as high stress or irregular food habits.
  4. An unhealthy colon can also lead to excess weight. The colon is an area of the large intestine where the body stores it’s waste. With a healthy digestive system, this waste is regularly flushed out. But, if the colon is not cleared properly, it can lead to excess weight accumulation. In the long term, this can also cause dangerous issues like Colon Cancer!!
  5. Consuming excess calories is the last and most well-known reason.

So, after I knew some possible reasons, here’s what I did:-

  1. I wanted to ensure that my liver is functioning properly. Towards this end, I decided to eat healthy and improve my liver functioning. So, I went online and read some articles on this.

    In summary, I saw the following points to indicate a healthy liver:-

    1. Sound digestion
    2. Healthy weight
    3. Less skin problems
    4. Strong immune system
    5. Less fatigue
    6. Good concentration
    7. Good sleep
    8. Healthy appetite
    9. No (or minimum) acidity. I realized that from the above, I lacked in most areas, confirming that I did have some liver issues. So, I decided to improve my liver health.
  2. I got my self checked for thyroid disorders and thankfully, I had none. As I’m not a medical expert I won’t talk much on areas (such as Thyroid) where my knowledge is not so good. However, the following books are quite good at explaining about possible Thyroid problems and how to address them:-

    I took out some time to read these books mentioned above and found them to be quite insightful. It’s possible that your problems are not the same as mine and that is why I chose to not talk much in detail about Thyroid issues and simply give some references that you can check out yourself.

  3. Due to my hectic schedule and high stress levels, I spent a lot of nights with less or minimal sleep. Towards this, I decided to work on myself. Here’s what I tried:-
    1. I resumed my yoga practice. I watched Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s tv show many years ago and that’s how I learnt how to do various yoga exercises. Every morning I spend around 10 minutes doing Yoga. If something’s free, it’s not necessarily bad. I also watched a few DVD based fitness programs, which I practice even today. Some of there are:-

        Denise is another famous fitness trainer Hollywood trusts. I liked her exercise routine as well. Another great option for those looking to learn some great yoga routines for fitness.

      Of course, you’re set if you try any one of the 2 options above.

    2. I also do weight training. If interested,  you can buy a pair of dumbbells of a weight suitable to your age and body and then begin some weight training. However, please be very careful when attempting weight training as if not done properly, weight training can lead to injuries. I will do a post later talking about weight training in detail and also give examples of what exercises I do.
    3. I also started with Pilates. Pilates is a category of body-weight exercises that is known to give good results for various objectives like weight loss, body sculpting and muscle development. If interested, you can check out This DVD by Denise Austin that demonstrates some great Pilates exercises in a easy to follow format.
  4. Now, as I started with these workout routines, I noticed one thing – the exercises on their own would not be able to do 100% of the job. I needed to do something about my diet and food intake as well. For this, I went out and bought Rujuta Diwekar’s book Don’t Lose your Mind, Lose your Weight. Rujuta is a household name in Bollywood. She is a well known dietician and an expert on Indian food and diets. I got a lot of useful insights on what diet mistakes I was making and learnt about which changes I need to make to improve my situation. You can buy the book here. It’s also available on kindle.

    To avoid any copyright violations, I am not able to reproduce any content from the book but yes, I will mention a couple of points:-

    1. Portion Control
    2. Recipes for various food allergies
    3. Recipes for various ailments and health conditions
    4. Fitness tips
    5. Some fitness beliefs which people have and whether or not they are valid

      Another good book I can recommend is Eat or Delete by Pooja Makhija. Pooja is also a very well respected diet expert who has been featured on many tv shows on Indian Television and is known to give expert diet related advice. You can get the book here.

  5. Now, I started seeing some results. My chronic acidity and hunger pangs reduced. My skin improved. Sounds good right? Yes definitely felt good for me too. Now, I wanted to capitalize on this and take it up a notch. Obviously as my stress and sleep situation was in directly relation to my job, I could not directly solve my problem of high fat retention in my body and needed help in this department. Here, my research led to a less-known fruit called Garcina Camborgia (known as “Kokam” in India).

    According to research that I came across, Garcina Camborgia consumption is known to regulate secretion of Insulin and Cortisol in the body. Cortisol and Insulin are opposites. If there is an excess of Cortisol in the body, the amount of Insulin being produced goes down, leading to a higher risk of Diabetes. Conversely, when a healthy amount of Insulin is produced by the body, its a good sign for those with risk of Diabetes.

    I went to Amazon and noticed that there were a lot of tablets based on Garcina were available there. So, I did some more research and selected Wow Garcina. Wow Garcina tablets contain a good amount of HCA and Chromium (deficiency of Chromium leads to sugar cravings and can cause unhealthy sugar consumption). However, please note that a single month of consumption is not enough for visible results as it takes a couple of months for the body’s hormones to come to proper levels. I bought a 6 month supply here.For those not looking to spend Rs 4,300/- for a 6 month dose, there are a couple of cheaper substitutes available. Perennial Lifesciences produces Garcina Camborgia Extract Tablets at about 1/3 of the price of Wow Garcina but their tablets do not contain Chromium. My mother personally tried a 4 month dose of these tablets and got good results (She lost around 5 kilos in 4 months without any changes to her diet and with 0 Exercise).

All in all, a balance of these different things helped bring my hormones in order, reduced my acidity and helped me lose a good amount of weight (I got to my target of 80 Kilos in around 6 months) and gained a whole world of confidence. Thanks for hearing me out and hearing my story.
